Indian rupee falls to lifetime low as US tariffs sting



The Indian rupee tumbled to an all-time low against the U.S. dollar on Friday afternoon, weighed down by persistent concerns over steep U.S. tariffs on Indian goods.
Washington imposed an additional 25% tariff on Indian goods this week, doubling the total duties faced by the South Asian nation to 50%.
The rupee dropped to 87.9650 to the U.S. dollar, dipping past its all-time low of 87.95
