European shares fall on Trump's new tariff threats on EU and Mexico



European shares experienced a decline on Monday, primarily driven by the automobile sector, due to President Trump's threat of imposing significant tariffs on the EU and Mexico, creating uncertainty among investors.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index decreased by 0.6%, while the UK's FTSE 100 saw a slight increase.
In the market, European automobile shares fell 1.4%, while retail sector was down 1%.
