WPI inflation dips to 0.85% in April

Wholesale price inflation fell to 0.85% in April from 2.05% in March, driven by easing prices of food, fuel, and manufactured goods.
Food articles saw deflation of 0.86%, with vegetable prices dropping sharply by 18.26%; onion inflation eased significantly.
Manufactured products inflation slowed to 2.62%, while fuel and power saw deflation of 2.18%.
With retail inflation at a 5-year low of 3.16%, RBI may consider another rate cut in its June policy review.
