NSE launched the Nifty Waves Index to track India’s media, entertainment, and gaming sectors.
The index includes 43 listed companies spanning film, TV, digital, music, and gaming industries.
The index will be reconstituted semi-annually and rebalanced quarterly.
Announced at WAVES 2025 summit in Mumbai; supported by the Ministry of I&B and inaugurated by PM Modi.
NSE CEO Ashishkumar Chauhan highlighted it as a benchmark for India’s rising creative economy.
