Net profit jumps 143% to Rs 699.19 cr; orderbook crosses Rs 19,500 cr level

Welspun Corp Ltd (WCL) reported a more than 143% surge in consolidated net profit to Rs 699.19 crore for the March quarter, driven by lower expenses. In the same quarter of the previous financial year, the company had posted a net profit of Rs 287.28 crore, according to its exchange filing.
