Japan’s Nikkei share average rose 0.5% on Friday, buoyed by a softer yen and easing U.S. Treasury yields. However, the index still posted a weekly loss of 1.6%, marking its first weekly decline in over a month. The broader Topix index gained 0.7% to close at 2,739.13 but ended the week down 0.9%.
