India approves HCL-Foxconn joint venture semiconductor unit

India’s cabinet on Wednesday approved a new semiconductor plant a joint venture between HCL Technologies and Foxconn at a cost of Rs 3,706 crore. The unit will be set up in Uttar Pradesh, Information Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced.
