Gold prices edged higher on Friday, set for their strongest weekly performance in over a month, as a weaker U.S. dollar and rising concerns over America's fiscal health boosted demand for the safe-haven asset. Spot gold rose 0.2% to $3,299.79 an ounce, while U.S. gold futures also gained 0.2% to $3,299.60. Bullion is up nearly 3% this week.
