Benchmark indices Nifty 50 and Sensex opened over 1.5% higher on Tuesday, recovering from the previous session's sharp selloff. The rebound was driven by bargain hunting and a broader recovery across Asia, boosting sentiment amid hopes of progress in U.S. tariff negotiations.
The rally also comes ahead of the Reserve Bank of India’s policy decision on April 9, with expectations of a 25 basis point rate cut.
