India to review ESG disclosures for listed firms, market regulator says

SEBI is reviewing ESG disclosure rules, especially for supply chains, after industry concerns about complexity and feasibility.
The regulator may ease requirements for smaller firms and aims to ensure disclosures are accurate and not just on paper.
SEBI's new chief Tuhin Kanta Pandey supports a more “fine-tuned” regulatory approach, including for related-party disclosures.
SEBI is also evaluating investor feedback on proposed changes to derivatives market rules, balancing risk control with market growth.
