As India celebrates Akshaya Tritiya today, the auspicious occasion brings an opportunity to blend tradition with benefits. With gold down nearly 5% or by Rs 4,300 per 10 gram, experts see this as an opportunity to accumulate gold to reap multiple benefits.
The prices have dropped from Rs 1 lakh per 10 gram in the physical markets and are hovering near Rs 95,600 according to India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) website.
According to Augmont data, gold has given double-digit returns of up to 58% from Akshaya Tritiya-to-Akshya Tritiya on 11 occasions and positive returns 15 times. The highest returns was between May 11, 2005 and April 30, 2006 and the lowest positive returns of 3% were between April 26, 2020 and May 14, 2021.
