Shares of Bharat Electronics (BEL) jumped 5.3%, reaching an intraday high of Rs 287.85 on the BSE on Tuesday, following the defence PSU securing a major order worth Rs 2,210 crore (excluding taxes) from the Ministry of Defence.
The contract is for the supply of advanced Electronic Warfare (EW) suites for the Indian Air Force’s Mi-17V5 helicopters.
