Australian shares posted their best day in over two years on Tuesday, rebounding alongside Asian peers as investors bought up beaten-down mining and energy stocks following a sharp selloff the day before.
The S&P/ASX 200 index rose 2.3% to close at 7,510 points. The benchmark had dropped 4.2% on Monday, shedding around $69 billion in value amid a global market rout.
