South Korean shares dip as battery, steelmakers weaken; set for weekly gain



South Korean shares dipped on Friday, as declines in battery and steelmakers offset gains in chip stocks, though they remained on track for a third consecutive week of gains.

As of 0132 GMT, the benchmark KOSPI was down by 3.03 points, or 0.11%, at 2,634.07, following the losses seen on Wall Street.
