Russian rouble strengthens ahead of central bank's rate decision

The Russian rouble rose 0.5% to 84.52 against the dollar on Friday, recovering from a two-day dip.

Despite losing 4% recently, it remains up 25% this year.

Against the yuan, it fell 0.6%.

The central bank is expected to keep interest rates steady at 21% in its meeting.
