European shares drop as Trump's fresh tariffs take effect

European stocks fell 1% as U.S. tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and China took effect, sparking fears of EU levies. Automakers dropped, with Stellantis down 3.6%, BMW 3%, and Porsche 1.6%.
