STOXX 600 rises but poised to break eight-week winning streak

European shares edged higher on Friday, with the STOXX 600 rising 0.2%, led by chemicals. However, elevated bond yields and Trump’s tariff threats pushed the index toward a 0.2% weekly loss, ending its eight-week winning streak since March 2024.
