Rupee dips to near key support level at which central bank intervened

On Friday, the Indian rupee dropped to a crucial support level, as a risk-averse mood and the decline of other Asian currencies were fueled by renewed concerns over U.S. tariffs.

By 10:58 a.m. IST, the rupee was trading at 87.3850 against the U.S. dollar, compared to 87.20 in the previous session.
