Indian government bond yields fell in early deals on Friday, with the benchmark yield hitting the lowest level in over six weeks, as strong purchases from investors and heavy fund infusion from the central bank supported sentiment.
The 10-year bond yield was at 6.7128% as of 10:00 a.m. IST, compared with the previous close of 6.7341%. Earlier in the day, the benchmark yield had dipped to 6.7079%, lowest level since Dec. 11.
