European shares hit record high as ASML lifts tech stocks after robust earnings

European shares hit a record high Wednesday, driven by ASML's strong results. The STOXX 600 rose 0.5% past Tuesday’s record. ASML shares surged 10.6% after reporting Q4 bookings of €7.09 billion ($7.39 billion).
