Wall St ends lower on tech weakness, oil extends slide

U.S. stocks ended lower on Tuesday, mirroring a decline in global markets, as a disappointing sales forecast from chipmaker ASML pressured tech shares. Meanwhile, crude oil continued its downward trend due to easing supply concerns and weakening demand.

All three major U.S. indexes closed in the red, with the S&P 500 and Dow retreating from the record highs reached on Monday.
