OPEC+ discussing delay to planned oil output hike in October, sources say

OPEC+ is considering postponing a planned production increase scheduled for next month, as oil prices have fallen to a nine-month low, three sources within the group told Reuters on Wednesday. Last week, the group appeared ready to move forward with the 180,000 barrels per day hike in October, but concerns arose due to market volatility caused by oil facility shutdowns in Libya and a weaker demand outlook, according to one of the sources.
