Nifty's Oct returns positive on 8 out of 10 years

Despite a slow start to the October series for Nifty on Friday, examining its performance over the past decade reveals a trend favorable to bulls. The 50-stock index has closed positively in eight out of the last ten years, with the most significant gains occurring in 2017. This largely bullish trend has been supported by strong activity from domestic institutional investors (DIIs), who have been net buyers on numerous occasions, even as foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have been net sellers six times during the same period.
