Japan's Nikkei rallies on Wall Street gains, softer yen

Japan's Nikkei rose 3.4% to 36,833.27 on Thursday, ending a seven-day decline, driven by Wall Street's gains and a weaker yen. The Topix also gained 2.4%, closing at 2,592.5.
