China stocks set for best week in 16 years on stimulus package



China and Hong Kong stocks are poised for their best weekly performances in 16 years, following Beijing's announcement of its most aggressive stimulus package since the pandemic, just ahead of the Golden Week holidays.

The blue-chip CSI300 and the Shanghai Composite indexes have gained 15% and 12% this week, marking their strongest performances since late 2008. Meanwhile, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index has increased nearly 13%.
