Sensex, Nifty on Monday

In a volatile trading session on Monday, both the Nifty and Sensex ended slightly lower, with minimal impact from a new Hindenburg report alleging misconduct by SEBI chief Madhabi Puri Buch. The 30-share BSE Sensex fell by 57 points, or 0.07%, closing at 79,648.9. Meanwhile, the broader NSE Nifty dropped 20.5 points, or 0.08%, ending the day at 24,347.
