Japan's Nikkei ends at 3-week high; focus on central bankers' comments

Japan's Nikkei share average ended at a three-week high on Thursday, rebounding from its steepest drop in 37 years earlier this month. However, gains were limited by caution ahead of speeches from central bank leaders in Japan and the U.S.

The Nikkei climbed 0.68% to close at 38,211.01, its highest level since August 1.
