Gold futures rise Rs 269 to Rs 70,405/10g




On Friday, gold prices increased by Rs 269 to reach Rs 70,405 per 10 grams in futures trading, as speculators opened new positions in response to strong demand in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for October delivery rose by Rs 269, or 0.38 percent, to Rs 70,405 per 10 grams, with a trading volume of 16,875 lots. Analysts attributed the price increase to the fresh positions taken by market participants.
