Oil drops on weak sentiment, set for weekly decline

On Friday, oil prices decreased, marking a potential second consecutive weekly decline, influenced by conflicting economic indicators that dampened investor confidence and strengthened the dollar.

Brent crude prices dropped 51 cents to $84.50 per barrel by 0035 GMT, a decline of 0.6%. Similarly, U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures fell 72 cents to $82.10 per barrel, down 0.9%.
