Leading up to the budget, concerns centered on fiscal responsibility and whether the government's approach would lean towards populism. However, the budget conveyed a message of consistency. Apart from the enhanced allocation of resources to the states of the two coalition partners, there appears to be little substantive deviation from previous budgets to the current one.
