The Nifty Bank faced selling pressure at higher levels and witnessed selling pressure throughout the trading session on Wednesday in line with benchmark indices.
The Nifty Bank fell 379 points to close at 52,189 while the Nifty50 fell more than 100 points to close at 24,324.
Axis Bank and Federal Bank closed with gains while selling was seen in SBI, AU Small Finance Bank, Bank of Baroda, PNB and Bandhan Bank.
