Japan's Nikkei share average extended its winning streak to four days on Wednesday, buoyed by strong performances in heavyweight technology stocks mirroring overnight gains in U.S. megacap growth stocks.
The Nikkei climbed 1.26% to settle at 40,580.76.
Meanwhile, the broader Topix index also advanced for the fourth consecutive day, finishing up 0.54% at 2,872.18.
