Gold drifts higher with spotlight on US inflation reading




Gold prices edged higher on Wednesday as investors awaited a crucial U.S. inflation report that could provide insights into the Federal Reserve's future interest rate decisions.

Spot gold increased by 0.4% to $2,372.87 per ounce as of 0705 GMT. Meanwhile, U.S. gold futures rose by 0.5% to $2,378.40.
