European shares fall ahead of Powell testimony; Indivior drops

European stocks declined on Tuesday ahead of an important testimony by U.S. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell before a congressional panel. Indivior, which slashed its profit forecast, contributed to the market's downturn, with its shares dropping to around three-year lows.

The pan-European STOXX 600 index fell by 0.3% as of 0707 GMT, with energy stocks leading the losses due to lower oil prices. Conversely, miners saw gains of 0.5% as copper prices experienced a slight increase.
