Crude oil futures decline on low demand



Crude oil futures dropped by 0.17% to Rs 7,012 per barrel on Friday as traders reduced their holdings amidst decreased demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for July delivery decreased by Rs 12 or 0.17% to Rs 7,012 per barrel, with a trading volume of 6,895 lots. Meanwhile, globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil saw a marginal increase of 0.02%, trading at USD 83.90 per barrel, whereas Brent crude was down by 0.08% to USD 87.36 per barrel in New York.
