Vodafone says 1.7 bln euros from Indus sale used to repay debt

On Wednesday, British mobile group Vodafone confirmed the sale of an 18% stake in India's Indus Towers for 1.7 billion euros ($1.83 billion). The proceeds from this sale will be used to repay lenders, specifically for borrowings that were secured against its Indian assets. This strategic move by Vodafone aims to streamline its financial obligations and optimize its capital structure in relation to its operations in India.
