Tokyo markets finished higher on Thursday, buoyed by semiconductor shares in the wake of rallies in US technology stocks.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index rose by 0.55 percent, or 213.34 points, closing at 38,703.51. Similarly, the broader Topix index increased by 0.33 percent, or 9.01 points, reaching 2,757.23.
