Sensex, Nifty on Wednesday

The 30-stock S&P BSE Sensex reached a new high of 78,759.4, before closing at 78,674, up by 621 points or 0.80%. Meanwhile, the broader Nifty hit a record high of 23,889.90 before ending the day at 23,869, gaining 147.50 points or 0.62%.
