Investors in Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) suffered a loss of Rs 1.67 lakh crore as shares of the company plummeted by 9.6% on the BSE today. This sharp decline came as poll counting estimates suggested that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA alliance might not achieve the level of success anticipated by exit polls in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
