Japan's Nikkei closes lower as tech shares drag; value stocks up

Japan's Nikkei share average ended Friday marginally lower, as declines in technology stocks outweighed gains in value stocks, supported by a weaker yen and higher yields.

The Nikkei closed down 0.09% at 38,596.47 following three consecutive sessions of gains. However, it recorded a weekly decline of 0.49%.
