Global funds are most bullish on Indian equity futures since 2017

Foreign investors are increasingly optimistic about Indian equity derivatives following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's re-election, ensuring policy continuity. Global funds' bullish positions in index futures contracts surged to 140,835, the highest in seven years, indicating positive sentiment toward Indian equities. Concurrently, overseas investors have poured $1.5 billion into Indian equities in June, driving the main stock index to a record high on Tuesday, bolstered by expectations of sustained pro-growth policies under Modi's new government coalition.
