On Tuesday, the Indian rupee closed largely unchanged, supported by dollar sales from state-run banks. The local currency, which had faced pressure in recent sessions due to heightened outflows from equities, ended the day at 83.51 against the U.S. dollar, just marginally different from its previous close of 83.53.
