Rupee sees worst day in 7 weeks on importers' dollar demand, election risk







On Wednesday, the Indian rupee experienced its largest daily decline against the U.S. dollar in almost seven weeks, influenced by continuous dollar demand from importers and concerns related to upcoming elections. The rupee closed at 83.3450, down from 83.1775 in the previous session, marking a 0.2% drop—its most significant daily fall since April 12.
