Mutual funds take Rs 10,000 crore contra bet on sleeping giants Kotak, HDFC Bank





Despite the market's bearish sentiment, mutual funds invested nearly Rs 10,000 crore in shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank and HDFC Bank in April. These two banks, historically known for their wealth creation, have experienced significant declines in 2024.


During a 9% dip in Kotak Mahindra Bank's shares last month, mutual funds seized the opportunity to purchase 4.65 crore shares, valued at approximately Rs 7,884 crore, according to data from Prime Database.
