Shanghai bourse widens trading limits on copper, gold, others

The Shanghai Futures Exchange will raise the trading limits and margin ratios of some metals futures contracts including copper and gold, it said on Tuesday. It will expand trading bands - which limit how much values can fluctuate - for copper and aluminium to 7% from 6%.

It will raise the trading bands for gold and silver contracts to 8% from 6% and 7%, respectively.

The exchange will also raise the margin ratios for the four products marginally.

All the changes will take place from Wednesday's closing.
