Tokyo shares opened higher on Friday after Wall Street stocks renewed all-time highs on optimism about the US economy and Fed policy. The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was up 0.38 percent, or 153.77 points, at 40,969.43 in early trade, while the broader Topix index added 0.33 percent, or 9.21 points, to 2,805.42.
