As the markets entered into a fresh week, Asian Shares were mostly higher after Chinese markets reopened Monday from a Lunar New Year holiday. At the opening bell, major Indian indices traded on a higher note where Sensex was up 200.96 points and Nifty was up 33.15 points. Equity benchmark indices gained strength as trade progressed on Monday and the Nifty index leaped to a fresh high of 22,150 after jumping 100 points. The BSE Sensex rose 300 points to an intra-day high of 72,729. However, markets will remain closed Monday in the United States for President's Day.
