South Korean shares posted their biggest gain in nine months on Wednesday, as chipmakers and battery manufacturers rallied on corporate earnings that came above market expectations.
The benchmark KOSPI closed up 47.50 points, or 1.98%, at 2,450.08, its best day since Jan. 9.
