After an overwhelming response to the IPO, the shares of Plaza Wires got listed at a solid premium of 55.5% over the issue price on BSE in Thursday's trade at Rs 84 per share. The issue price was fixed at Rs 54 apiece. Meanwhile, on NSE, the stock debuted at Rs 76, up 40.7%.
Ahead of the listing, the company's shares commanded a premium of Rs 23 in the unlisted market.
The IPO of Plaza Wires was booked nearly 161 times, making it the most oversubscribed issue of the year. The robust response from investors can be attributed to its strong track record of growth in recent years.
