Europe's main stock markets rose at the start of trading Thursday following strong gains in Tokyo.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index advanced 0.6 percent to 7,664.50 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX rose 0.5 percent to 15,534.77 points and the Paris CAC 40 won 0.6 percent to 7,171.15.
